I have read the local papers "letters to the editors" in support of Geauga Commissioner Mary Samide, submitted by her friends, people who work for her and with her, and people she has done favors for.
Two of these letter writers, the Bustardo’s, close friends of Mary, miraculously, out of thin air, received a large reduction ($20,000) on their property value without ever having gone through the proper channels by filing a
complaint with the Board Of Revisions, a board that Mary sits on. Has a miracle like that happened to any of you whose property values have declined in this bad
economy OR ARE YOU STILL PAYING TAXES ON THE HIGHER VALUE YOUR HOME USED TO BE WORTH?
Many other letter writers sound like they are following a script given to them by Mary, as they sound repetitious and similar, talking about what a good mother and wife Mary is, how well she raised her children, and how well her children are doing.
Mary Samide’s husband, how well her children are doing, and her role as mother and wife, are NOT an issue in the race for Commissioner. Her family has nothing to do with it. We do not vote for them. They do not represent us.
I urge you all to stay focused on the real issues Mary does not want you to know about and don’t get sidetracked.
Mary spends a lot of your tax money unconstitutionally, using it to pay for free fitness club memberships for all
county employees; using it to pay for the demolition of condemned buildings on the private property of people who she knows and whose responsibility it is to pay for it themselves.
Mary voted to raise the sales tax in Geauga and to continue the supposed temporary tax for another 5 years. This hurts local businesses and costs you more also.
Mary has been welcoming government subsidized housing into Geauga for years and had her big smiling face in the paper welcoming one of these people into Geauga, giving them $20,000 of your tax money. I believe she has given your money to other government subsidised people in Geauga also.
Mary and other liberal socialists believe that these government subsidised people "deserve to live in Geauga too". BALONEY!! This is Obama's mentality.... spread the wealth! No one "deserves" any such thing! We all live where we can afford to live. We all worked hard and saved our money to be able to live in Geauga. Did anyone give you a free home and $20,000 of other peoples hard earned money (tax money) to live in a place you otherwise wouldn't be able to afford? We all know the problems that plague a community when government subsidised housing starts infiltrating.
Mary sat on the board as President of NOACA along with Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and Commissioner Jimmy Dimora. NOACA’s mission and goals reek of socialism and more regulation of your life. Look it up for yourself.
I could expose more facts and details about Mary but if this isn't enough then something is wrong.
The point is, if you don’t want cronyism, unconstitutional spending of your money, socialism and government subsidized housing in Geauga County, then Ralph Spidalieri is the man to take a look at for Geauga County Commissioner.
