Mary Samide must think the zoning laws do not pertain to her because she is a "commissioner".
On her property located at 10927 Mayfield Rd. in Munson Twp, Mary erected a very large election sign that is illuminated with spotlights at night.
I believe it was erected the weekend of 12-09-11, which is 89 days before the March 6, 2012 primary. One month over the legal zoning limitation.
Munson Twp. zoning law pertaining to election signs:
1003.5 Election Signs – Election signs are permitted for a period beginning not more than sixty (60) days before a duly authorized election date. These signs may not remain for more than seven (7) days after the election(s) to which they pertain.
Look around.... do you see any other candidate sign up ANYWHERE? The answer is NO!.... because they are all following the law, EXCEPT FOR MARY!
Munson Twp. Trustees and zoning inspector have done NOTHING about this. I'm quite sure it is because Mary is friends with them.
Some of you, especially if you are Mary's family or friend, may say this is petty.
Well I don't think so! This reflects an attitude of blatant arrogance and being above the law that we should not tolerate in Mary Samide or any other public servant! All other candidates are waiting for the legal time frame to erect their signs.
I believe this also shows Mary's desperation as she has not before had a credible opponent like Ralph Spidalieri, having the ability to unseat her.
The feedback I have been getting from numerous people I talk to is that they are fed up with Mary.
It is a fact, that when public servants act more like "politicians", are chronic liars and backstabbers, do not do their job well, and mismanage taxpayers money.... it all catches up with them. It may take some time, but it always happens. I don't understand how these dummies can't see that.
Call Munson Twp. and tell them you want the law applied equally:
Zoning Inspector Tim Kearns: 440-286-9182
Mary Samide does NOT have special privileges, as she may think, and is NOT above the law.
