Cops charged in mentally ill man's death....
Kelly Thomas, 37, suffered from schizophrenia
and lived on the streets
You will see in the videos below, which also show this poor mans face before and after, that this was a case of angry cold blooded murder by the no good cops that beat him and tazed him.
One cop was charged with murder and the other with manslaughter in the killing of Kelly Thomas, a defenseless, mentally ill homeless man whose head was pummeled against the curb, shocked with a Taser 6 times and beaten with the butt of a stun gun. I'm not sure why BOTH were not charged with murder. They both should be.
The two Fullerton, California pigs who killed Thomas were Officer Manuel Ramos and Police Cpl. Jay Cicinelli.
Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas was quoted saying Thomas was acting "in self-defense, in pain and in a state of panic."
Wowwww! A distict attorney commenting this harshly against the police is so rare I can't remember a time. This must have been so blatant and unwarranted that even the D.A. couldn't find a reason to sidestep this. Plus, it was all recorded and there were plenty of eye witnesses.
Witnesses heard Thomas desperately pleading.... "I'm sorry!.... I can't breathe!.... Help Dad, Help Dad!"
How very sad.
Here is something I am extremely surprised about that you all need to hear.
D. A. Tony Rackauckas said.... "Police officers have a right to use reasonable force in the performance of a lawful duty but citizens have a right to self-defense, even against the police."
I highly commend Rackauckas for making that statement.
In previous posts on this site I have addressed that issue. A person has every right to defend himself against physical harm from a police officer if it is unconstitutional, unjust, uncalled for, you are fearfull for your life and limb, and does not fit the parameters as to how he is allowed to exert force over you.
There are some judges in this country who have decided in favor of civilians who have beaten police officers for that very reason.
So, here's the question for the day.... a cop-killer (Troy Davis) is set to be executed in Georgia. Will these killer cops get the same treatment? Not likely.
My opinion is.... the death penalty for these two pigs would not be harsh enough!
You read about more and more police with anger / temper problems who have killed people with uneccessary excessive force. There should be better screening and training and NO tolerance for that kind of shit!
