Resist TSA....Get rid of them!
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A Kentucky couple wants the TSA to change how it screens children after their 6-year-old daughter was frisked at the New Orleans airport.
"We struggle to teach our kids to protect themselves, to say, 'No, it's not OK to touch me in this way in this area,' " Selena Drexel told the network.
The incident drew attention and outrage after the Drexels posted a video of the search on YouTube.
The girl's father, Todd Drexel, said Anna was confused by the search and started crying afterward because she thought she'd done something wrong.
Selena Drexel says such searches are inappropriate for children because they're usually told not to let adults touch them in sensitive areas. She said she posted the video because she "had a very bad feeling that what happened was wrong."
In a statement, the Transportation Security Administration says the officer followed proper procedure but that the agency is reviewing its screening policies for "low-risk populations, such as young passengers." The statement says the agency is exploring ways to "move beyond a one-size fits all system."
Martin Macpherson, the director of the London-based Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers, said he is not aware of instances when terrorists have used children as young as six in an attack.
NBC's Pete Williams reported that while the TSA didn't want to exempt an entire category of people from pat-downs, the agency's boss John Pistole wanted to move away from the one-size-fits-all system and improving screening of low-risk passengers such as children.
The Drexel's want TSA to change the way they screen children. The Drexel's are too polite. It shouldn't be a matter of TSA changing the way they screen children.... they shouldn't be allowed in any airport in this country.
What TSA does is a horrible violation of constitutional rights, on top of treating a 6 year old like a suspected terrorist. The Drexel's should never have allowed this to happen to their young daughter. It's very traumatic for a 6 year old....they don't understand any of this. No matter what kind of commotion it would have caused or how inconvenient it may have become, there is no way I would have let that happen to my child by those communist pigs!
TSA said the officer followed proper proceedure. So it was alright?! It was alright to terrorize and fondle this sweet little 6 year old? First of all, agency proceedure is not law, it is just the proceedure that particular agency has set up for it's employees to follow. I don't care what government agency it is....we do not have to and should not cooperate with ANY agency proceedure that is intrusive and un-constitutional.
Those pigs prey on us, knowing that most of us are civilized, cooperative, law abiding people who will be subserviant to their un-constitutional, communist tactics and not cause trouble. They take complete advantage of that. Well, it's about time we DO start causing them trouble. We do not have to cooperate with criminals who violate our rights!
I am glad the Drexel's had the courage to put this on youtube and go on national news to bring this to the American peoples attention.
The problem is, many people will tolerate bullshit like this because they don't want to be inconvenienced, don't want the hassle, or sadly, they are in favor of this as they have been brainwashed into thinking the government will protect them from "terrorism". To all of the idiots who think this....wake up fools....government has NEVER, NEVER, NEVER been able to do that!
