I am very anxious right now, sort of the feeling one gets when standing in front of a judge awaiting the verdict.
Let me refresh you memory. It was two years ago I started getting demands from Euclid for my houses and it was March 2009 I received a warrant for my arrest and was arrested out of work in May of that same year. My crime: Having my nephew stay in my rental property without registering and receiving a permit from the city. That's the short of it.
So why am I anxious? Today's election outcome shows the direction America is headed. Do we continue on the path of BIG government, socialist policies or is it a new dawn of awakening the true American spirit of freedom and telling the government hands off, this is my life, my property, my money.
If people vote for the status and things stay the same its carte blanche for the government to continue onward running our lives and telling us what to do and how to do it. And this will certainly gives cities like Euclid the green light to continue their policies.
If freedom wins we can all breath a sigh of relief. But we can't get complacent. We must start immediately to restore the liberties that were snatched away and over turn every socialist law that has been put in place.
The more laws are enacted, the more innocent people are found guilty.
I pray that my peers have realized what big government has done to this great nation. It is smothering the American dream and spirit. We must not let the flame be extinguished.
Remember the words of The Declaration of Independence, ..... We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights, among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.....
Big government and socialism only takes, it never gives anything in return.
Please vote responsibly and support the Right side of the ballot.
Thanks for the letter Carey.
From previous letters I have read of yours, it seems you and I are pretty much like minded, but I have to take note of certain things in this letter.
"Today's election outcome shows the direction America is headed"......I have to disagree with that statement Carey. This election will NOT determine the direction of America. What has happened in America and to our freedoms has taken decades, if not a hundred or more years, to evolve. To think that simply one election can change that, even the slightest, is simply rediculous.
America will continue to go on in the same direction in spite of this election no matter what outcome it produces. It wouldn't matter even if all Republicans were elected. WHY? Because the vast majority of politicians being elected were bred and groomed in this very system that has distorted and ignored our Constitution. BOTH PARTIES ARE THE PROBLEM!!!! When will people start understanding THAT and stop talking about and supporting "THE PARTIES".
Voting in general, especially at the federal level, will not do a dam thing to change the direction we are headed in. Think about it..... people have been voting since we became a free nation and look how we have ended up! All these years of VOTING doesn't seem to have made a difference.
"Do we continue on the path of BIG government, socialist policies or is it a new dawn of awakening"..... Yes, I believe America is starting to awaken but that is not enough. What I believe WILL make a difference is truthfull education about our Creator and Constitution, but that will take generations to accomplish because we have allowed generations of our children to be dumbed down by an educational system in this country that has been infiltrated by Socialists, Marxists, and Communists. I really don't think we have that kind of time left.
Knowledge alone isn't enough. Knowledge without action is useless! We must also take appropriate action....and I don't mean tea party pep rallies and whining. Don't forget, the cheerleaders never win the football game....it's the players who take the appropriate ACTION on the field that win the games.
I don't see real action being taken in our local communities. The majority of people are afraid to speak out. They are afraid to publicly single out politicians in their communities who don't follow our Constitution, who abuse people and misuse public funds. They fear retribution and retaliation by these bullies and tyrants.
It is FEAR and LACK OF FAITH that keep people in bondage and in the chains of slavery that we are in now! We are the majority..... yet let a minority oppress us. The majority seems to be a bunch of spineless wimps!
Don't get me wrong Carey....I don't mean voting is useless....I'm just saying that at this point in time, that alone will do nothing....it will take much more than just voting.
